FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lewis and Clark Dental clinic to open in Clarkston, Washington

The CHAS Lewis and Clark Dental Clinic will officially open its doors to patients on September 20th, 2010, in Clarkston, WA.  This general practice dental clinic will join the growing CHAS family of clinics, and will improve community access to high quality and affordable dental care in the Lewis-Clark Valley.

“CHAS is proud to be expanding throughout the Lewis-Clark Valley.  With the addition of this new, state of the art dental clinic, we continue to expand access to affordable health care and help improve the lives of the people of this community,” said Peg Hopkins, CEO of CHAS.  Hopkins added, “there are many people who have trouble finding access to health care; people on Medicare, Medicaid, those who are uninsured, and even those who have private insurance.  We are here to fill the need.”

This new dental clinic will be located in the historic Lee Morris building in downtown Clarkston and will be situated three doors down from Wasem’s Drug, which currently provides pharmacy services to CHAS’ Lewis and Clark Health Center patients.

The location of the Lewis and Clark Dental Clinic in Clarkston allows CHAS to partner with the Washington Dental Service Foundation; a critical CHAS partner that has helped fund the dental operatories at the clinic.  This state of the art dental clinic will provide high quality dental care for people of all ages including children on the Healthy Options plan, who have had limited access to dental services in the past.
