Eligibility
Welcome to CHAS! We would like to thank you for choosing our dedicated team for all your health and wellness needs. We are confident that our skilled team of healthcare professionals will make your experience at CHAS pleasant and efficient.
Who can come to CHAS clinics?
Our doors are open to everyone. At CHAS, no one is turned away based on ability to pay.
If you do not have insurance, we will set up a time for you to meet with a Patient Service Coordinator (PSC) who will help determine whether or not you qualify for insurance, or will establish you on our sliding fee program. With the sliding fee program, we will bill you a flat fee, similar to a co-pay, for each medical visit. The amount of this fee will be based on your family size and income and ranges from $25 to $65.
If you have private insurance, you will be responsible for any co-pays required by your insurance plan, and any other amounts not reimbursed by them.
In addition to helping you enroll in various insurance options offered by Community Health Plan of Washington, Molina Healthcare or the Washington State Health Care Authority, our Patient Service Coorindators can also offer helpful CHAS and community services for you and your family. If you have any questions about our services, please contact our Patient Service Coordinators by clicking here.
What changes are taking place with Medicaid managed care plans in Washington State?
Many Medicaid managed care plans in Washington State are changing effective July 1st, 2012. Affected plans include Healthy Options, Basic Health, and the Blind/Disabled Program. We encourage affected members to speak with one of our Patient Service Coordinators to gain additional information about how these changes will affect them. We believe that continuity of care is essential in quality patient care and take pride in caring for our patients! For your information, CHAS is contracted with the following managed care payers: Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW) and Molina Healthcare.
Again, thank you for choosing the CHAS family of clinics!
